No dia 25 deste mes, a Zona sul estará sendopalco de um acontecimento inédito. Neste dia, no Luna Bar – reduto dos intelectuais cariocas – Paulo Teixeira de Souza, repentista de 48 anos e “um dos poucos poetas do Brasil a viver da sua poesia”, conforme ele mesmo declara, estará lançando o seu livro “A Vida do Operario e do Nordestino no Rio”. Com isto, Paulo inaugura oficialmente a literatura de cordel urbana, tratando de temas especificos das grandes cidades e de sua populaçao.

On the 25th of this month, the South Zone will be the stage of an unprecedented event. On this day, at the Luna Bar – stronghold of carioca intellectuals – Paulo Teixeira de Souza, 48-year-old repentant and “one of the few poets in Brazil to live off his poetry”, as he says, will be launching his book “The Life of a Factory Worker and from the Northeast of Rio “. With this, Paulo officially inaugurates the urban cordel literature, dealing with specific themes of big cities and their population.
