In 2001, Christina exhibits 6 sculptures of female torsos on the island of Angra dos Reis, better known as Ilha de Caras. It was her 25th solo exhibition and the first one with only sculptures. 

Christina started her creation by carving life-size clay moulds of the torsos. From these, plaster moulds were made, which were then filled with aluminium. The torsos were placed at strategic locations on the island where Christina added feminine accessories, such as pearls, shells and corsets.
