Pintei duas imagens de Raposo Tavares para representar a transformação. Na viagem que ele fez em torno do território brasileiro, chamada Bandeira dos Limites, ele foi jovem e voltou velho: nem a família o reconheceu no seu retorno. As cores usadas, como o vermelho, fazem parte do meu trabalho nesse momento. Acredito que ele deveria ser um homem muito forte e com paixão! Participou da expulsão dos padres jesuítas espanhóis, dos holandeses, e um dos seus objetivos era definir fronteiras, por isso destaquei também o contorno do País.

I painted two images of Raposo Tavares to represent the transformation. On the trip he made around the Brazilian territory called Bandeira dos Limites, he was young and came back old; not even his family recognised him on his return. The colours used, such as red, are part of my work right now. I believe he should be a very strong man with passion! He participated in the expulsion of the Spanish Jesuit priests, the Dutch, and one of his goals was to define borders, so I also highlighted the outline of the country.
