Every artist who works in nature does not have to be interested, necessarily, in the landscape (G. Tiberghein). After Land Art, several artists artistically explore the possibilities of nature, discover new methods and ecologically value the planet.
Christina Oiticica is part of these artists who innovate and who bifurcate their interest in research born of a real need for art to interact with the human being and the environment.
Consequently, Oiticica devised a procedure that consisted of burying his canvases (virgin or painted canvases) in the forests of the Pyrenees (France) and unearthing them in the different seasons of the year. The exhibition ‘4 stations’ went through Lujbliana, Rome, Paris and Rio de Janeiro (Casa Brasil-Francia).

Todo artista que trabaja en la naturaleza no ha de interesarse, necesariamente, por el paisaje (G. Tiberghein). Después del Land Art, varios artistas exploran artísticamente las posibilidades de la naturaleza, descubren nuevos métodos y valorizan ecológicamente el planeta.
Christina Oiticica forma parte de estos artistas que innovan y que bifurcan su interés en unas investigaciones nacidas de una necesidad real de que el arte interactúe con el ser humano y con el medio ambiente.
Consecuentemente, Oiticica ideó un procedimiento que consistió en enterrar sus lienzos (telas vírgenes o pintadas) en los bosques de los Pirineos (Francia) y desenterrarlos en las distintas estaciones del año. La exposición ‘4 estaciones’ pasó por Lujbliana, Roma, París y Río de Janeiro (Casa Brasil-Francia).
