Without sacrificing the dramatic structure, I seek to be as faithful as possible to the figure and history of Father Cícero Romão, within an overview provided to us by the analysis and study of documents and books about our main character. I dedicate this work to all who are currently striving to safeguard our country’s Historical Heritage.

Caatinga is a type of desert vegetation that is unique to Brazil. It is also the name of the ecoregion covered in this vegetation, in the northeast of Brazil. Padre Cícero was a spiritual leader of the people of Northeastern Brazil.
