The ideas outlined in the manifest were the basis for the 1974 “Alternative Society”. Free copies of the manifest were distributed during Seixas’ first concert in Sao Paulo in 1973. The following year, copies of the manifest were confiscated and burned by the then Military Dictatorship, which considered the material as subversive.
