In 2009, Paulo Coelho and the Spanish fashion brand Mango created a limited collection of 6 t-shirts, printed with six different quotes by the author, such as “Never give up on your dreams, follow the signs”, “The path to wisdom is not being afraid to make mistakes” and “The challenge will not wait. Life does not look back”. The limited collection, marketed in 450 stores in 68 countries, became the top selling articles within days and sold out quickly after that. Part of the earnings from the sales went to the Paulo Coelho Institute in Brazil, an institute that is funded exclusively from revenues of the author’s copyrights and provides education, food, love and the opportunity to develop their artistic skills for 450 children.
